Carol Leitch Miller, M.A.L. is a Catholic Campus Minister for the professional schools at Northwestern University. In this role, Carol serves the law and medical schools as the Sheil Campus minister on the university’s Chicago campus and also provides an interfaith presence for the University Chaplain’s Office on that campus.
After earning her Master’s in Liturgy from USML/ Mundelein Seminary, Carol served in the Personnel Services Department of the Archdiocese of Chicago where she helped to recruit, select, onboard, develop and recognize those involved in the mission of the Pastoral Center.
In addition to the Chicago campus ministry, Carol also co-directs the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults program at Holy Name Cathedral and coordinates wedding liturgies at the Saint James Chapel at the Archbishop Quigley Center.
She has been actively involved in various ministries at parish, seminary, and Archdiocesan settings. Carol recently collaborated with the Office of Lay Ecclesial Ministry of the Archdiocese and the Veterans Administration to present a program for pastoral associates to recognize and respond to the needs of returning veterans where she shared her own experiences as the mother of an Iraqi veteran. Carol is the mother of one son, Mark, who serves as a Commander of Mobile Communications for the United States Army.
