He was part of the formation faculty and Director of Spiritual Life at Mundelein Seminary from 1983-1991. Fr. Feeney holds a M.Div. degree from St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary and a Masters in Applied Spirituality from the University of San Francisco. He is a candidate for the D. Min. from Mundelein Seminary; his goal is to finish the required writing for the degree this year.
Fr. Feeney, is a White Sox fan. He enjoys reading, writing, listening to (almost) all kinds of music. An unaccomplished musician, he likes to relax with his guitar (and sometimes even plays it). He belongs to a priest prayer group which has been a major source of support for the past 30 years. He also belongs to a book club. He likes bicycling and working out. He enjoys getting together with friends for dinner, a movie and an occasional concert (CSO). As chaplain and director, he looks forward to continuing the great tradition of prayer, worship, pastoral care, education and service that has been established at Sheil Catholic Center. He is delighted to be here and always looks forward to serving the many people who consider Sheil their spiritual home.
