Prayer Lab: Exploring Ways to Connect with God (open to students)
Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., October 13th-November 3rd, Sheil's Evanston Campus, Newman Lounge

This student small group is designed to help you grow in your relationship with God by deepening your life of prayer. Prayer is at the heart of our faith, yet many of us long to learn new ways of praying that can sustain us in the busyness and challenges of college life. In this group, we’ll explore practices like contemplative prayer, imaginative prayer, and Ignatian prayer—methods that open us to encounter Christ more personally and allow the Spirit to speak in fresh ways. Whether you are just beginning to pray or looking to expand the ways you connect with God, Prayer Lab offers a welcoming space to experiment, learn, and discover the richness of prayer together.

Week 1, October 13—"Prayer 101” with Fr. Bradley Zamora

Week 2, October 20—"Imaginative Prayer” with Becca Siar, Director of Campus Ministry, St. John Paul II Newman Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago

Week 3, October 27—"Ignatian Prayer” with Br. Emmanuel Arenas, SJ

Week 4, November 3—“Contemplative Prayer” with Sr. Molly Bernadette Spiering, CSFN
