Sunday Mass
Evanston Campus: 9:30 a.m. (livestreamed here), 11:00 a.m., and 5:00 p.m. in Sheil's Evanston chapel. Please note that there will be no Sunday Mass at 5:00 p.m. over the academic winter break on December, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st. Mass at 5:00 p.m. will resume on Sunday, January 7th. Please also note that the Fourth Sunday of Advent takes place on December 24th. On this day, the morning Mass times will be combined into one Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Chicago Campus: All Chicago campus students are invited to join the Sunday Mass in Sheil's Evanston chapel or join us via livestream at 9:30 a.m. (livestreamed here).
Daily Mass
Evanston Campus: 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday when classes are in session. When a priest is not available, a Sheil team member will hold a communion service. Mass takes place in Sheil's Evanston chapel. Please note that there will be no daily Mass over the academic winter break between Monday, December 13th and Friday, December 29th.
Chicago Campus: 12:10 p.m. on Wednesdays when classes are in session. Mass currently takes place in a temporary location as of September 25, 2023: Room 155 (Parrillo Courtroom) in the Law School's Rubloff Building. You can enter at 375 E. Chicago Avenue or 350 E. Superior Avenue. Please note that there will be no Wednesday Mass over the academic winter break between Monday, December 13th and Friday, December 29th.
Christmas Eve Mass
Please note that the Fourth Sunday of Advent takes place on December 24th. On this day, the morning Mass times will be combined into one Mass at 10:00 a.m. Christmas Eve Mass will then take place at 4:00 p.m. (also via livestream here) and 7:30 p.m. (with carols at 7:15 p.m.) at Sheil Catholic Center, Evanston.

Prepare for Your Visit
To help you prepare for your visit to the Sheil Catholic Center in Evanston or Chicago:
Transportation & Parking to the Sheil Catholic Center in Evanston
If you are arriving by public transportation, the Noyes Purple Line Station is within walking distance of Sheil Catholic Center. If you are arriving by car on the weekend, all Northwestern University parking is open, unless otherwise noted. There is a lot directly across from Sheil on the east side of Sheridan Road. Street parking is also available. If you are arriving by car on a weekday, please use street parking.
Transportation & Parking to the Sheil Catholic Center in Chicago
If you are arriving by public transportation, you may take the Red Line "El" train to the "Chicago" station or take the 146, 147, or 151 bus to the corner of Michigan and Huron. It is an approximately 10-15 minute walk once you disembark from either the train or bus. If you are arriving by car, we highly recommend that you locate a nearby parking garage in advance as downtown parking is very difficult to find.
Pandemic Considerations
In accordance with our partners at Northwestern University, the Archdiocese of Chicago, and the City of Evanston, masks are currently optional at Sheil Catholic Center's Evanston and Chicago campuses. The Sheil Catholic Center staff are fully vaccinated.
