Support Students through Fabretto and Sheil

Sheil Catholic Center sells "School Grounds Coffee" by Fabretto, a non-profit organization that supports school children in Nicaragua. This coffee is "Direct Trade" which mean that the farmers and Fabretto benefit directly from the sales. Each bag of coffee is $15 and $3 of the sale also goes to support scholarships for Sheil students attending one of our mission trips.

Coffee can be purchased after Sunday Mass on Coffee and Donut weekends. You may also purchase coffee by stopping by the Sheil office Monday-Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Please ask for campus minister Tim Higgins.

Learn more about School Grounds Coffee

Fabretto and the 5 de Junio Cooperative developed a partnership to produce School Grounds coffee. The 5 de Junio Cooperative represents 300 small producers from Las Sabanas, department of Madriz, in northwestern Nicaragua. The coffee, which is freshly roasted and distributed by Mayorga Organics, links these Nicaraguan farmers with the U.S. market, providing opportunity for the farm families, as well as providing help through Fabretto to school children in Nicaragua.
