Sheil Catholic Center is here to help you learn discernment practices as you make decisions about classes, relationships, jobs, and your future.

Discernment Groups

(open to undergraduate and graduate students)
Chicago Campus: Fridays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., September 15-December 1
Evanston Campus: Fridays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., September 22-December 1

Many of us wonder what God's plan for us looks like. This year-long small group (students may participate in any or all of the terms) is designed to assist students in developing practices for listening to where God is moving in our lives and therefore to helping us to unfold God's dream for us. The fall term will focus on exploring who we are in God's eyes; and how recognizing our strengths and weaknesses will help us to understand how God speaks to us as individuals.
