Vocations
Sheil Catholic Center is here to help you learn discernment practices as you make decisions about classes, relationships, jobs, and your future.
Vocation Panel
Tuesday, May 19, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Cafe at Sheil's Evanston campus (Open to All Students and Young Adults)
Curious how to integrate your faith and your career? Join us for an evening to hear from experts in engineering, law, medicine, journalism, and social sciences. They will speak about how they felt called to enter their fields and how they see their work integrated with their faith. There will be opportunities to ask questions and meet in small groups with the expert aligned with your own area of study. Snacks will be provided!
Discernment Opportunities
Sheil Catholic Center offers a number of ways to learn and/or practice discernment.
Spiritual Direction - Consider speaking with a spiritual director who can help accompany you on your spiritual journey and explore any questions you may have about where God may be calling you, whether it is about your studies, a job, a relationship, or more. Learn more about spiritual direction at Sheil here.
Discernment Seminar - The Discernment Seminar helps you learn about and practice discernment. It is offered approximately once every two years. Would you like to know about the next time it is offered? Contact Sister Belinda here.
Learn about Consecrated Life and Priesthood - Visit the Community News Bulletin Board on the first floor of Sheil's Evanston campus to find a variety of flyers offering vocation opportunities or information about particular religious communities/priesthood.
