Assumption of Mary (Holy Day of Obligation)

August 15, 2025 | Mass at 5:00 p.m. at Sheil Catholic Center, Evanston

All Saints Day

November 1, 2025 | Will be celebrated during the month of November with an altar (ofrenda) in the Commons at Sheil's Evanston campus. All are invited to bring a copy of a photo of a deceased loved one for the altar.

Thanksgiving

Christmas Eve (Holy Day of Obligation)

December 24, 2025 | Mass at 4:00 p.m. with carols beginning at 3:45 p.m. (also livestreamed here) and Mass at 6:30 p.m. with carols beginning at 6:15 p.m., all at Sheil Catholic Center, Evanston

Mary, Mother of God (Holy Day of Obligation)

January 1, 2026 | Mass at 5:00 p.m. at Sheil Catholic Center, Evanston

Ash Wednesday

February 18, 2026 | All services and Mass times include distribution of ashes.

Evanston Campus: Mass at 8:00 a.m., Prayer Service at 12:00 p.m., Mass at 5:00 p.m., and Mass at 8:00 p.m. Ash and Dash on the front lawn from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. All at Sheil Catholic Center, Evanston located at 2110 Sheridan Road.

Chicago Campus: Mass at 12:10 pm. in Wirtz Theatre in Abbott Hall (TBD)

Holy Week

All of the following will take place at Sheil Catholic Center, Evanston.

Palm Sunday | March 29, 2026 - Mass at 9:30 a.m. (also livestreamed here), 11:00 a.m., and 5:00 p.m.

Holy Wednesday | April 1, 2026 - Harbor with Adoration and Confessions at 8:00 p.m.

Holy Thursday | April 2, 2026 - Mass of the Lord's Supper at 7:30 p.m., Adoration will follow until 11:00 p.m., with Night Prayer beginning at 10:50 p.m.

Good Friday | April 3, 2026 - Stations of the Cross at 3:00 p.m., Celebration of the Lord's Passion at 7:30 p.m., Veneration of the Cross will follow until 10:00 p.m.

Holy Saturday | April 4, 2026 - Easter Vigil at 8:00 p.m.

Easter Sunday | April 5, 2026 - Mass at 9:30 a.m. (also livestreamed here), 11:00 a.m., and 5:00 p.m.
