Small Groups
All are invited to join a Sheil small group to explore a particular area of the Catholic faith and meet other members of the community. Ranging from bible studies to histories, each quarter there are new topics.
Small Group Opportunities
Bible Reflections Group (open to all)
Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., every week, starting January 8 through March 19 on Zoom
Explore the scriptures! We are reading the Bible and reflecting on how it speaks to our lives. This is a "come when you can" group so no advance registration is necessary. Please send an email to Lisa Russ here and ask to be added to the Bible Reflections group email list so you will receive the Zoom link for each meeting.
Facilitators: Sheil Associates Lisa Russ and Mary Brugliera
The Journey of Self-Discovery (open to all students)
Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., every week, starting January 27 through February 24 in the Student Lounge at Sheil Catholic Center, Evanston
Who am I? Gosh, how often in life have we wrestled with that question? This small group, using the transformative text, “The Gift of Being Yourself,” which totally changed Fr. Bradley's life, will take us on a journey of self-discovery as we recognize that the more we become like Jesus, the more we become who we authentically are called to be. We will wrestle with the false selves we might think we need to be and seek to truly step into the light of our uniqueness in Jesus that brings us uncommon freedom.
Please reserve your space in advance by pressing the button below. Start your reservation by pressing January 27th at 7:00 p.m. This will reserve your space for the entire series of Mondays from January 27th through February 24th.
