Lenten Fish Fry
Friday, February 27th at 6:00 p.m.
Join the Lenten Fish Fry at Sheil's Evanston campus! Enjoy a delicious meal of fried fish, gluten-free option, tater tots, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and dessert! To reserve your dinner and pay in advance, press the button below. Reservations requested by Sunday, February 22nd. If you’d like to extend hospitality, you may also sponsor a student’s meal through the reservation form and help ensure every student can gather at the table. Plus, as part of the Fish Fry, there will be a blessing of the newly named Kincaid Corcoran Cafe at 6:30 p.m. Come celebrate Teresa Corcoran and members of her family who will be there to commemorate the event. Cheap Lunch
Winter Term: Wednesdays at 12 noon, January 7-March 4 (not on Ash Wednesday, February 18)
Sheil Catholic Center, Evanston hosts the popular "Cheap Lunch" for all students, faculty, staff, and the wider community. All are welcome for food and fellowship! The cost of a meal is $3 for students, $5 for all others. A meal includes one main dish (bratwurst, hamburger, hot dog, or veggie burger that is gluten-free and vegan), along with salad, chips, and drink. Plus, it's just $1 for an additional meat item, limit 2 per person. We are able to accept cash or online credit card. Questions or want to volunteer? Hospitality Sunday
Winter Term: January 11, February 1, March 1
Sheil Catholic Center, Evanston hosts baked treats, beverages, and a welcoming spirit after each Mass about once a month while classes are in session and on special occasions. Snack Table
Sheil always has a snack table available at its Evanston campus during the fall, winter, and spring quarters. It is located in the Commons, right outside the library doors. All students are welcome to stop by throughout the year for a snack and studying. During reading week, we host an extra special snack table full of snacks to nourish study sessions. For the winter term, it will take place March 11-13, 2026. Want to volunteer to bring fruit or baked goods for the reading week snack table?
